The Research and Education Centers represent an extremely valuable resource within the
University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and have played a
significant role in the total research and education programs over the years. With the ever
increasing demand for relevancy in adjusting the College programs to meet the needs of modern
agriculture, they must be effectively and efficiently utilized. The Research and Education
Centers serve to establish the image and visibility of the College of Agricultural and
Environmental Sciences and the University of Georgia to a significant portion of the people of
the State of Georgia. The primary role of the Research and Education Centers is agricultural
research and education.
1. It is the responsibility of the administration and faculty of the CAES to aid in the
development and coordination of the programs at the Research and Education Centers.
Department Heads may delegate signature authority to the REI Coordinator if desired;
however, responsibility remains with the Department Head.
