Presentation to the Strategic Planning Facilitation Team
By The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
represents engineers and geoscientists registered in Saskatchewan. We are here today to share
with you our professions' views on some of the considerations facing you in setting future
directions for the University of Regina.
Those directions will, of necessity, be general in nature to reflect and include the broad spectrum
of needs, opportunities and expectations of the University's many stakeholders. We have
therefore chosen to frame our submission as conversation about the interests, needs and concerns
of our professions and ways in which our professions can be more actively engaged and
supportive of the University. We can summarize our positions as follows:
1. APEGS is interested in ensuring that, over the long term, there are enough graduates in each
