NOMINATION DEADLINE: 5:00 p.m., December 20, 2010
Matching awards of up to $1000 are provided to units in order to support a visiting scholar.
· Franklin College Diversity Leadership Development Program
FUNDING AWARDS DEADLINE: 5:00 p.m., January 10, 2011
Three awards of up to $3000 each will be awarded in order to support faculty efforts to engage in
diversity leadership. Funds will be provided to support a variety of efforts such as developing a
diversity related grant proposal, participating in a discipline-specific diversity workshop, or
developing a partnership with a minority- serving institution.
· Franklin College Graduate Student Recruitment Initiative
PROPOSALS FOR SPRING RECRUITS ACCEPTED BEGINNING: January 10, 2011
Funds are provided to support the travel of underrepresented graduate students who have been
admitted to the university but who have not yet committed to attending UGA. If your graduate
program requires an interview or audition, you may also apply to use these funds in your
recruitment effort.
