"The Athens Diagnostic Laboratory
has come a long way since it consist-
ed of one faculty member back in
1972," said Dr. Doris Miller, director
of the laboratory, at its dedication on
August 31. "We are now one of the
leading laboratory facilities, along
with our sister laboratory in Tifton."
The laboratory is now located in
a new three story, $6.3 million brick
building, which houses a staff of 21
veterinarians, along with computers
and laboratory equipment used to
provide comprehensive diagnostic
services.
The full-service accredited labora-
tory performs a wide variety of tests
to help practicing veterinarians and
