1. Call to Order:
Presiding Officer Ed Azoff [Math] called the meeting to order at 3:35 PM in Room 104
of Connor Hall. 2. Identification of Proxies and Visitors:
Proxies: Rebecca Enghauser for Joan Buttram [Dance], David Leigh for Ikubolajeh
Logan [Geography].
Absences: Ben Blount [Anthropology], Marly Eidsness [Chemistry], Jacek Gaertig
[Cellular Biology], Glenn Galau [Botany],
Reinaldo Roman [History], Claudio Saunt [History], Juergen Weigel [Microbiology],
Glenn Wallis [Religion]. Visitors: None.
Deans: Wyatt Anderson & Hugh Ruppersburg. Senate Total: 32 Present, 8 Absent.
3. Approval of Minutes of Previous Senate Meetings:
Minutes from the March 26, 2002 Faculty Senate meeting were approved, with the
amendment that Robert Rumely [Math]
served as the proxy for Ed Azoff [Math] at that meeting. Minutes for the April 18, 2002
meeting have still not yet been
disseminated. Minutes from the August 22, 2002 meeting were approved by voice vote.
