Sending supplemental information to ABET
EE and CEE want to send supplemental information to Thomas Jewell, the ABET interim visit
team chair. Janice will collect the documents from EE and CEE and e-mail them to Thomas
Jewell on June 25th
.
AA will not have any supplemental information.
Mapping ABET outcomes onto HCDE 231 and 333
Jan Spyridakis, HCDE Chair, announced that they are working with a consultant to revamp
these two courses. The Engineering Communication Program (ECP) will have a new director
in August, Dr. Kerrie Kephart.
A draft list of the ABET Criterion 3 program outcomes (a-k) that HCDE instructors can assess
in HCDE 231 and 333 was discussed. It was suggested that the list be updated to include (i)
life-long learning. Jan Spyridakis e-mailed a new version of the outcome list to ACI for
discussion in the departments and to decide if all of the departments should use these
assessments.
The new ECP Director will sit on the ACI committee. The goal of the changes to HCDE 231
