UCSB. Applications for the 10-week summer program are ac-
cepted from students at any four-year college or university.
This summer RISE interns hailed from 11 different institutions,
including one each from
schools in Poland and Mexico.
Academic year intern-
ships are offered on a quarter-
by-quarter basis to UCSB stu-
dents, many of whom are able
to renew their funding for the
full year. This fall the MRL
will fund approximately 10
