Summary: News & Notes
The Blue Static Saxophone Quartet from the Moores
School of Music has been accepted to compete in two of
the most prestigious chamber music competitions in the
nation, the Coleman, Pasadena, CA (April), and the Fis-
choff, Indianapolis, IN (May). Members include soprano
saxophonist Bob Eason, alto saxophonist Lee Redfearn
III, tenor saxophone Justin Neumann, and baritone saxo-
phonist.
Blue Static's playing is rooted in a long line of high-quality
saxophone ensembles that the Moores School of Music has
produced for more than a decade. Over the years, the UH
saxophone studio members have been proud to represent
their school in performances at the Texas Music Educa-
tors Association convention, at various high schools, and
at many competitions around the country.
