Abstract. Irregular bone remodeling is associated with a number of bone dis-
eases such as osteoporosis and multiple myeloma. Computational and mathe-
matical modeling can aid in therapy and treatment as well as understanding
fundamental biology. Different approaches to modeling give insight into dif-
