Summary
All necessary components currently exist to
ensure that the remaining operations of Hubble
Space Telescope stay as productive of world-
class science as they have been throughout
its lifetime. In this proposal, three existing
systems are combined to provide the necessary
capabilities for telerobotic servicing of HST.
The Ranger robot is a spaceflight qualified
dexterous robotic servicing system developed
under NASA funding, based largely on the
requirements for robotic servicing of Hubble
SpaceTelescope,andbuildingonmorethantwenty
years of Space Systems Laboratory experimental
