LINE FORMATION IN THE INNER STARBURST REGIONS OF AGN

RESUMEN
Revisamos la evidencia de que existan poblaciones estelares j´ovenes en las regiones centrales (
< 200 pc) de los
n´ucleos gal´acticos activos, y los mecanismos que los c´umulos estelares tienen a su alcance para crear las l´ineas
de emisi´on que caracterizan la actividad nuclear.
ABSTRACT
We review the evidence for young stellar populations in the inner
< 200 pc of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN),
and the physical mechanisms through which the stars can potentially create the emission lines that characterize
AGN.
