ABSTRACT This paper presents spectroscopic measurements of
iodine at 778 nm and 518 nm performed by second and third
harmonics of a 1.5-m diode laser, generated by quasi-phase
matching in a periodically poled lithium niobate waveguide.
Sub-Doppler spectroscopy by a 780-nm source was also demon-
strated, and shows the potential of the system to reach high
