Education Assistant
Northwest Regional Campus - Terrace
(Term, Part-time Two Months, Minimum 28 Hrs/Wk)
Reporting to the Chair of Education and working closely with the Terrace Bachelor of Education
Coordinator, and members of the Education Program, the Education Assistant will coordinate the
office and record management component of the Terrace B.Ed. Degree program. You will provide a
range of administrative, liaison and secretarial duties to support the staff and students within the
Education Program. Specific duties include:
Provide information to prospective students regarding admission processes, prerequisites and
program requirements for the BEd. Program
Maintain records and work with BEd Coordinator and practicum Placement Coordinator to
ensure students meet professional and academic requirements for British Columbia College of
Teachers' (BCCT) certification
Receive, document and forward to either the Practicum Placement Coordinator or the BEd
Coordinator concerns raised by students, faculty and/or schools regarding pre-service teacher
practicum placements
Liaise with the Registrar's office on matters pertaining to applications, assessment,
