Course outline. This semester, we will cover selected material from Chapters 1­9 of the textbook Differential Equa-
tions and Linear Algebra (2nd Edition, Prentice-Hall, 2000) by Stephen W. Goode, roughly by the following schedule:
Part I: Introduction to Differential Equations
Chapters 1 & 2 2 weeks
Part II: Linear Algebra
Chapters 3­6 7 weeks
Part III: Using Linear Algebra to Solve Differential Equations
