Response to ABET re: Interim Reports/Visit
ABET's Draft Statement presenting its findings was received on January 14. Programs are
cautioned that during his visit the evaluator may have been raising new issues which isn't
allowed. The Draft Statement should be compared with the Final Statement received August
2008 to make sure no new issues have been entered. Mani Soma is willing to work with the
three departments (AA, CEE, and EE) that have unresolved weaknesses in the Draft
Statement. Mani has already connected with Marty Afromowitz. It is suggested that AA and
CEE contact him too.
The response to ABET's Draft Statement is due within 30 days of January 14th. An
electronic response will be sent to the 4 ABET recipients by Feb 11th -- (14th is Sunday, 15th
is a holiday).
