The purpose of this series is to publish high level contributions describing advanced
technologies in biomedical imaging and related mathematical problems and techniques.
Innovative approaches in biomedical imaging, such as diffusion tensor imaging, multi-wave
modalities, molecular imaging, and intensity-modulated therapy, both depend upon and
nourish a deeper understand of fundamental problems in many branches of mathematics.
Among them are inverse problems, statistics and stochastic analysis, integral geometry,
harmonic and complex analysis, numerical simulations, control and optimization, and signal
and image analysis. This series will quickly publish advanced textbooks, conference
proceedings, and research-level monographs that illustrate the interplay among these branches
of mathematics and their applications in biomedical imaging. The primary aim of this series is
