Summary: Review of the University of Regina's
Administrative and Organizational Structure
The University's strategic plan, mâmawohkamâtowin: Our Work, Our People, Our
Communities, states in Goal B4 that the University will "(i)ncrease our administrative
efficiency and enhance productivity". This goal follows naturally from the University's
Mission Statements, which states"
"The University of Regina ...
Strives for and promotes sustainability and efficiency.
Offers a welcoming, rewarding study and work environment that fosters creativity,
engagement, continuous learning, and the opportunity to succeed."
More specifically, Goal B4.1. states that the University will "(p)romote a culture of
administrative excellence by striving to improve the efficiency of administrative
processes," while Goal B.4.3 states that the University will "(i)nitiate an external review of
our organizational structure to determine whether the structure is suited to our needs. If it
is not, change it."
In order to promote administrative efficiency, with the goal of improving the efficiencies
and effectiveness of the organizational structure of the University, the President has struck
an advisory committee that is charged with reviewing the administrative and
organizational structure of the University of Regina.
