Exchange Program
for Prospective Incoming Students
PROCESS
The University of Houston has several types of Exchange Programs. Please read below
and identify which exchange program you are applying for.
a. All Reciprocal Educational Exchange Programs (REEP) students applying to study
at University of Houston for one or two semesters will have their tuition and fees
waived at UH, except the following fees, Admission fee, Orientation fee, Exchange
fee, and Health Insurance (Bacterial Meningitis vaccine to be taken in home country)
b. All exchange students who are applying to UH under a specific memorandum of
understanding or agreement on departmental competitive scholarship ($1000
scholarship) and receive the award will pay in-state tuition and all fees including
Health insurance. (Bacterial Meningitis vaccine to be taken in home country).
c. All students applying to study at UH under a specific Memorandum of Understanding
that does not have the reciprocal exchange waiver or competitive scholar waiver, will
be paying full tuition and fees for each semester.
Students should read the following very carefully in order to apply for exchange programs and the
following documents should be sent to the attention of Parul Fernandes, Director, Office of
International Studies and Programs, 501 E. Cullen Building, Houston, TX 77025.
