Summary: Timeline for Honors Thesis 4990H Course
Previous Semester (i.e. the semester before the one in which you are enrolled in a 4990H/5900H)
· Meet with faculty research mentor to discuss thesis proposal and to decide on a reader
· Write thesis proposal
· Have faculty research mentor approve thesis proposal and sign Application for Undergraduate
Research
· Have your department approve thesis proposal and sign Application for Undergraduate Research
· Turn in signed Application for Undergraduate Research with thesis proposal attached
· Have Dr. Pamela Kleiber in CURO approve thesis proposal and sign Application for
Undergraduate Research
· Register for 4990H
Weeks 1-10
· Attend mandatory meetings with Dr. Kleiber and Matt Jordan. These meetings are announced
over the thesis listserv, to which you will be added when you submit your Honors Research
Course application.
· Complete research and data analysis
· Meet with faculty research mentor periodically
· Meet with reader periodically
· Submit thesis drafts to faculty research mentor periodically
· Submit thesis drafts to reader periodically
