Case Studies
Employability is a key focus at the College of Human and Health Sciences.
We work closely with external organisations to ensure our students have
the skills and experiences to meet the demands of employers and, where
appropriate, professional bodies. All of our professional preparation
programmes include practice placements where students work and learn
alongside qualified practitioners.
We offer the opportunities to study abroad with more than 100 partner
universities around the world. Our undergraduates also have access to three
month internships in a variety of countries including Denmark, Norway,
Sweden, Holland, Slovenia, Portugal and Spain.
The College has a portfolio of part-time courses that easily fit into the busy
schedules of nurses, midwives, doctors and other health and social care
practitioners. This part-time provision extends to postgraduate and doctoral
studies including the Doctorate in Professional Practice. These courses are
regularly revised to meet the needs of the NHS and other stakeholders.
