PGCert/Diploma/LLM (Information Technology and
Telecommunications Law)
This specification provides a concise summary of the main features of the programme
and the learning outcomes that a typical student might reasonably be expected to
achieve and demonstrate if s/he takes full advantage of the learning opportunities that
are provided.
Educational Aims of the Programme
This Certificate / Diploma/ LLM programme aims to produce highly skilled, independent
and adaptable graduates with a solid knowledge of the basic principles of law, who are
equipped for employment both in the legal profession and other fields of endeavour.
The modular programme offers considerable flexibility, allowing students to select a
curriculum which meets their own needs. The programme also ensures that knowledge
and skills are developed progressively through the course of the degree. The programme
will also provide you with enhanced legal research skills and the ability to use online
resources in an effective manner.
The programme will be delivered through a variety of online resources accessed via
BlackBoard and a dedicated Web portal. A series of podcast based lectures will be
provided and synchronous and asynchronous discussion will facilitate and encourage
