ABET FINDINGS DURING THE DEC. 2-4, 2007 REVIEW
The ABET Team did not find any deficiencies in the nine College of Engineering programs and
one College of Forest Resources program that were visited. Weaknesses were found in six of the
CoE programs, and concerns were found in two of those programs.
Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering sent a 7-day response to Carl Locke (ABET Team
Chair) about findings that they believe to be errors of fact.
The College will receive a Draft Statement from ABET in January or February 2008. We will
have 30 days to provide a Due Process Response. Eve's office will collect the department's
responses and will respond to ABET on behalf of all 10 programs. It is important that
departments start documenting items for their response now. If departments are willing to share
responses, we can work together on them.
