SUMMARY ANNUAL REPORT WILLIAMS COLLEGE GROUP INSURANCE PLAN

Summary: SUMMARY ANNUAL REPORT
FOR
WILLIAMS COLLEGE GROUP INSURANCE PLAN
This is a summary of the annual report of the Williams College Group Insurance Plan, EIN 04-2104847,
Plan No. 501, for period January 01, 2010 through December 31, 2010. The annual report has been filed
with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, as required under the
Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
Insurance Information
The plan has contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Inc and Principal Life Insurance
Company to pay health, life insurance, long-term disability, HMO, PPO and indemnity claims incurred
under the terms of the plan. The total premiums paid for the plan year ending December 31, 2010
were $12,479,977.
Because Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Inc is a so called "experience-rated" contract, the
premium costs are affected by, among other things, the number and size of claims. Of the total insurance
premiums paid for the plan year ending December 31, 2010, the premiums paid under such "experience-
rated" contract were $11,815,583 and the total of all benefit claims paid under this contract during the plan
year was $10,751,084.
