Jennifer Keeney's Trio Angelico will perform four con-
certs December 1-9 in Japan. One of the concerts will
benefit "The Purple Songs Can Fly Project," a program
for children who write and record their own music at
Texas Children's Hospital. Selections from this pro-
gram will air on Fox 26 at 3 pm on Thanksgiving Day.
Geraldine Ong (studio of Nancy Weems) won first-prize
out of 14 entrants in the Young Artist Piano division of the
Texas Music Teacher's National Association competition
last weekend at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Tex-
as. She now proceeds to the South Central Division level
competition in January. Stephanie Chan (studio of Nancy
Weems) received an Honorable Mention in the competi-
tion. Catherine Baker, Lindsay Fyffe, Sarah Giron, and
Kasumi Nakashiima (studio of Jennifer Keeney) also
Antonia Rogers (studio of Jennifer Keeney
and Krystal Grauvogl (studio of Timothy Hes-
ter) performed at HSPVA (High School for the
