Abstract
Motion detection and tracking is becoming more and
more important in the security and military fields. It relies
on high speed computation using image processing. This
is why today, with the advances of technology, such
applications have become possible more than ever before.
Successful implementation requires an efficient
interaction between hardware and software. In this
paper, an algorithm is presented based on color
characteristics and Kalman Filter for real time motion
detection and tracking.
1. Introduction
There are many parameters and algorithms to detect
and track motion [1]. One of them relies on the use of
