MISSION
our mission is to develop engineering solutions (knowledge and technology) to transportation problems for the state of
Idaho, the Pacific Northwest, and the United States, and to prepare our students to be leaders in the design, deployment,
and operation of our nation's complex transportation systems.
VISION
Our vision is to be one of the premier transportation research and education programs in the United States.
We are a national leader in developing technology to reduce congestion on arterials, improve the quality and economic
viability of biofuels, and reduce the environmental impacts and improve the fuel economy of motorized vehicles (includ-
ing passenger cars, transit vehicles, and recreational vehicles).
