You are advised to first review CPT for F-1 Students information at the International Center web site.
There are two types of Curriculum Practical Training (CPT). Some academic programs have an internship requirement while
some offer an optional course for a non-required internship. List A below shows the academic programs that have an official
internship/practicum requirement. List B contains the programs that have an optional CPT course offered to facilitate
participation in an internship/practicum. Students with an optional internship are required to enroll for the CPT course to comply
with CPT requirements. Students are advised to consult with their respective schools/departments regarding specific
requirements for courses and internships.

School of Social Work MSW degree: Field Instruction SW 515 and

School of Information Master of Science in Information (SI 681; SI 690)
