Summary: FIRST-YEAR CHECKLIST
Freshman year is coming to an end. You may be thinking about classes for next year and
potential majors. You may be arranging an internship or job for this summer. And as you are
thinking beyond the next First Fridays, you may be seeking guidance on how to figure out what
you want to do after college or how to win that coveted job. This checklist is designed to give
first-years an idea of how to launch this process. If you start now, you will thank yourself later. I
promise.

Click around, and in particular, learn about the Focus Program (self

Return to the OCC homepage. Sign onto the Route 2 System.
https://williams-csm.symplicity.com/students/. The Route 2
homepage directs you to multiple databases for job and internship
search. The jobs posted directly on Route 2 are jobs that employers
submit directly to the Williams College OCC, looking for people like
you to fill the position. UCAN is a database of 1000s of internships
posted by 22 colleges and universities.
When on the Route 2 System, sign up for various career listservs,
