Intended for investigators in the early part of their career for study of
pathogenesis, with focus on the intersection of human and pathogen biology.
Work on AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis may be submitted by research on
under-studied pathogens including fungi, metazoan, and protozoan diseases
and emerging infections is of special interest.
