Summary: Every year the Frontier Fiesta Association awards Scholarships
to incoming freshman, current undergraduate Students and
Graduate Students at the University of Houston. The
scholarships are awarded to the individual for their devotion to
their academics and community involvement. The winners are
chosen by a committee of university students and faculty.
Educationally, the Frontier Fiesta Association strives to include
several interactive and Historical exhibits related to Texas
history. Examples include an American Cowboys Museum, the
Cherokee Cultural Society, a petting zoo, blacksmiths, Pow
Wows and the Buffalo Soldiers exhibit.
Frontier Fiesta has been a part of multiple University of
Houston Alumni lives. This past year the Frontier Fiesta Associa-
tion has lost a handful of irreplaceable Frontier Fiesta support-
ers. Therefore, the 2011 Frontier Fiesta Board have created the
Marsha Burns Memorial Fund for all of our Fiesta Alumni who
will be forever missed. This fund will be allocated to help in the
sustainability of the Frontier Fiesta event, which may include
supplies for: construction, cook-off, or Family Fun Day. If you
would like to help donate to the Marsha Burns Memorial Fund
