Abstract
We report on experimental studies of spatio-temporally heterogeneous stick-slip motions in the
sliding friction between a hard polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) block and a soft poly-dimethyl
siloxane (PDMS) gel. We perform experiments on two PDMS gels with different viscoelastic
