Abstract. We present new results from highresolution
spectroscopic observations of the latetype fast rotator
BD+22 ffi 4409, revealing interesting aspects about its mag
netic activity that have not been considered before. Analy
sis of the extremely variable and rotationally broadened
chromospheric Hff emission profile provides clear evidence
