Kathleen Dore currently serves as Senior Advisor to
Proteus International, Inc., a management consulting
firm specializing in organizational vision, strategy and
leadership. Dore retired as President, Broadcasting, at
Canwest Media, Inc. in December, 2008.
Dore joined Canwest, one of Canada's premier media
companies, in 2004 with responsibility for the
company's Canadian broadcast assets, including Global
Television, a national broadcasting network and its 11
owned and operated stations; E!, a second television
network that broadcasts to 65% of English-speaking Canada; and 8 cable networks. In
2007, Dore managed Canwest's acquisition of Alliance Atlantis and the integration of 13
additional cable networks, including HGTV, Food Network, Slice, and Showcase.
During her tenure at Canwest, Dore reinvented both broadcast networks, rebranding
global and premiering hit shows. She partnered with CBS Paramount to launch ET
Canada, which became Canada's top entertainment news show. In addition, she
pioneered a new approach to delivering local news broadcasts from centralized
production centers, resulting in annual cost savings of $20 million. Dore also managed
an exclusive agreement with Comcast Entertainment Group to license the E! brand and
