COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
In this course students are introduced to a broad range of business and management concepts.
Topics covered include scanning the business environment, ethics, managerial decision making,
business strategy, and an overview of the key management functions including human resources,
organization design, operations management, accounting, finance and marketing.
Students will learn from a variety of methods including in-class lectures, seminars and group
activities, textbook reading & exercises, weekly online study assignments and group projects.
