Abstract. Abstract. Ingress and egress Voyager 2 ultra-
violet spectrometer (UVS) solar occultation lightcurves
at wavelengths longward of HI Lyman CIacquired dur-
ing the Neptune encounter are compared with one-
dimensional methane photochemical-transport models
to infer hydrocarbon abundances and the strength of
