ASSIGNMENT #7 SOLUTIONS
Problem 1
The 6-point interaction term is conventionally normalized with a 6!, just as the 4=point
interaction term in 4 theory is normalized with a 4!. Thus we get a vertex factor of -i.
The kinetic terms are the same in this theory as in 4, so the propagator is the same.
Momentum is still conserved at each vertex, and diagrams must still be divided by any
necessary symmetry factors.
Problem 2
(a)
Applying a series of functional derivatives to the generating functional
iJ(x1)
