1. Introduction
In recent years, a wealth of information has been
uncovered about viiration to vibration (V-V) and
vibration to translation/rotation (V-T/R) energy
transfer processes in polyatomic molecules, much of it
by the technique of laser induced fluorescence [ 1,2] .
The substituted methanes have been the subject of
extensive research in this area. With respect to energy
transfer pathways, some of the better understood
