Belief revision is the process of maintaining a system's consistency as information arrives. Al-
though belief revision has been intensively studied by researchers in artificial intelligence, most
work on this field has been conducted under full first order logic. Due to the cost of checking
consistency in first order logic, the implementations of available belief revision systems are
still inefficient and incomplete. This dissertation presents the design and implementation of
a rule-based agent which could automatically perform belief revision in its belief base. The
work involves two parts, theory and practice. On the theoretical side, we extend the work of
