Abstract| The statistics of the outage events in the re-
verse link of a DS/CDMA wireless system are investigated
taking into account the e ects of correlated Rician fading.
The outage probability and the average fade duration are
derived by assuming a constant multipath intensity pro le,
which includes a direct-path component in the rst-path.
