Description: This course provides an introduction to the mathematical classication of compu-
tational problems as solvable or unsolvable, and as easy or diÆcult.
Textbook: Michael Sipser, Introduction to the Theory of Computation, PWS Publishing, 1997.
Prerequisites: CMPSCI 250 and 311 or permission of instructor.

Review of nite state machines and regular languages.
