Summary: News & Notes October 29, 2007
Rob Smith was a featured composer at the 28th
Annual Bowling Green New Music & Art Festival
(October 17-20), where members of the wind
ensemble performed his large chamber work
"Dance Mix". Isabel Ettenauer recently performed
his toy piano work "Schroeder's Revenge" in
Austria at the Villa Gugging/Art
BrutCenter/Viertelfestival and in Madrid, Spain at
the SONOAUS'07 Festival. The Texas Christian
University Percussion Ensemble will perform his
work "Sprint" on November 7th.
The MSM Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of
Noe Marmolejo, will perform at the Miller
Outdoor Theater with vocalist Diane Schuur on
Sunday, November 4 at 7:30 p.m.
