3:30 p.m. - guided tour of the Hermitage
5:00 p.m. - depart Hermitage for Downtown Nashville: Experience fine dining and
entertainment on 2nd
Avenue.
8:00 p.m. - depart Nashville for Cookeville (to your hotel).
Cost: $20.00
Covers round trip to Nashville and the visit to the Hermitage. Cost of your meals in
Nashville not included.
The Hermitage: Tours begin at the Visitors Center with a 15-minute film about the life of
Andrew Jackson and the museum. Then, on to the mansion which was completely
restored to its appearance during Jackson's retirement years, 1837-1845. The Hermitage
is one of the most originally furnished of the early presidential homes. Six rooms of the
house retain the original 1836 wallpaper. In addition to original colors and exactly
reproduced textiles, almost all of the furnishings, including furniture, silver, porcelains
