Marcus Karl Maroney has been chosen by
the Juventas! new music ensemble to
compose a chamber opera. The 25-minute
work, based on Kenneth Sawyer
Goodman's one-act play Dust of the Road,
will be premiered in Boston in Spring 2008.
Matthew Dirst recently presented a paper
on "The Invention of the Bach Chorale:
Reception of the First Editions" for the
musicology colloquium at the University of
British Columbia in Vancouver. He also
performed an organ recital at Pacific
Lutheran University in Tacoma,
Washington.
