Summary: News & Notes September 18, 2006
In July, Franz Anton Krager held a
week long residency in Aberystwyth,
Wales (UK) at the 2006 International
Music Festival and Summer School.
Mr. Krager conducted the Musicfest
Orchestra in a Gala Concert on July
29th. The concert included soloists from
London Mozart Players, London
Symphony Orchestra, BBC, Royal
Philharmonic Orchestras, Covent
Garden, Royal Academy of Music,
Guildhall School of Music, and the
Medici Quartet.
Jessica Zhu (sophomore piano
performance major from the studio of
Nancy Weems) was the grand prize
winner in the Entergy Young Texas
Artist Music Competition, 2006. As part
