UCSB ScienceLine Partners with
Monroe School
When Monroe Elementary School teacher Jim Wright de-
veloped a new sixth grade science unit on global warming,
he turned to UCSB ScienceLine for assistance. A previ-
ous user of ScienceLine, he realized that the MRL's inter-
net ask-a-scientist network could enhance his teaching by
providing expert answers to his students' questions. Work-
ing closely with ScienceLine Coordinator Dr. Claudia
Gutierrez-Mazzotti, Mr.
Wright also arranged for
three UCSB scientists to
give guest presentations in
his classroom on topics
ranging from climate
