Summary
mathscape is a software package that facilitates the
production of documents containing formulas and
other material that can be constructed algorithmi-
cally. It is used within Mathematica sessions, to
control the computation and to format the output.
Worked examples, sets of problem and worked solu-
tions can be produced without the tedium of routine
manual operations. Transcription errors are elimi-
nated. Rigorous mechanical checks assure freedom
from analytical errors. Once generated, materials
can be combined selectively for hard copy and inter-
active use in di erent contexts.
