Abstract
We describe three case studies in the use of Basic
LOTOS. The studies cover design recovery, require-
ments speci cation, and design activities. We also re-
port lessons learned from the studies. Early lessons
suggested changes to the syntax of the language used,
and the need for some speci c analysis tools. The last
case study reports some of the results of these changes.
