The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) aspires to be Canada's premier small,

sustainability project in North America.
UNBC is currently seeking a senior security specialist to join as its Security & Parking Manager. The
University works hard to ensure a healthy, safe, open, friendly, supportive and stimulating work
environment for its employees and visitors.
Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, Contract & Risk Management, the Security & Parking
Manager will plan, organize and direct daily operations of the security and safety division. In
collaboration with the senior management team, the successful candidate will plan, develop and
implement policies and procedures, assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs, and
oversee the development and implementation of administrative systems. The Security & Parking
Manager will supervise a small staff of professional security officers in order to achieve the security
objectives of the institution.
