| Description/Abstract | The authors discuss research in ceramics at the Southwest Researech Institute (SwRI). The ceramics program has grown to the extent that it now embraces such diverse areas as advanced heat engines, high-T, superconductors for antennas, advanced composite development, and ceramic armor. The makeup of this program reflects several factors, i.e., the needs of our government/commercial client base, as well as the personal interests and specific capabilities of the scientific and engineering staff. |
