Description/AbstractUsing the O(3,2) -symmetric de Sitter solution of Einstein's equation describing a stongly interacting tensor field we show that hadronic bags confining quarks can be represented as de Sitter ''microuniverses'' with radii given by 1/R/sup 2/ = lambdakappa/sup 2//6. Here kappa/sup 2/ and lambda are the strong-coupling and the ''cosmological'' constants which appear in the Einstein equation used. Surprisingly the energy spectrum for the two-body hadronic states is essentially the same as that for a harmonic-oscillator potential, though the wave functions are completely different. The Einstein equation can be extended to include color for the tensor fields.
